A proper orchestration of parts and materials reduces delays, maintains process sequence, reduces re-work, and insures final parts are built to spec. We use:
- Supermarkets to sequence parts and insure proper JIT inventory levels
- A Kanban call-card system to direct experienced material handlers to move material as demand downstream dictates
- Defined material handling routes and delivery locations
- A connection between the jobs per station and bills of manufacture to predict what is needed next
