Our testing equipment and our extensive knowledge base on composite design and manufacturing insures all raw materials meet standard specifications which improves throughput, minimizes cost and insures quality parts to our customers.
Thermotron Environmental Test Equipment. ThermoTrak II software with its innovative capabilities can, Utilize input from engineers around the world, can run several test simultaneously because of it ability to link multiple chamber controllers to a PC, includes tracking and recording features
- Gel Time: is used to obtain the gel, cure and maximum exothermic temperatures characteristics of a resin or coating
- Brookfield Viscosity using either HBT or LVF
- Ignition Loss of Cured Reinforced Resin: Using a high temperature burn-off and a pre-weighed specimen, a sample of fiber glass reinforced plastic laminate is reduced to glass fibers from which the percentage of glass reinforcement is determined
- Pot Gel Time: In this test a Gel Timer is used to determine the gel time of resinous plastics
- Barcol Hardness: A Barber-Coleman Barcol Impresser is used to determine the indention hardness and is used for estimation the degree of cure of reinforced thermoset plastic
- Heated Water Immersion: This method determines the effects that constant exposure to water over a set amount of time with elevated temperature would generate in a coating or substrate
